Orchid Vaghti comes from a tradition of the strong legal advocacy and ethics, having started her career in criminal defense law at the age of sixteen. As a teenager, she began working at the criminal defense law office of L Stephen Turer where she advanced from office staff to a highly successful practicing attorney.
She graduated with her Juris Doctorate degree in 2010, and then passed the California Bar Examination. She was admitted to the State Bar of California in early 2011. Since being admitted to the bar, Ms. Vaghti has successfully handled hundreds of felony and misdemeanor cases for all sorts of clients, in all sorts of situations ranging from homicide cases to DUIs to resisting arrest and Juvenile Deliquency work.
Following several years of experience, education, and training in a longstanding Sonoma County criminal defense law office, Ms. Vaghti founded her own law office in Santa Rosa in 2015 dedicated to intelligent and zealous criminal defense advocacy, and focused on providing excellent legal services to her clients.
She has worked on cases ranging from simple offenses to cases that could result in life long prison sentences. She is well versed in juvenile delinquency law, DUI law, and has handled jury trials where her clients have been charged with murder, attempted murder, robberies, domestic violence, and sex offenses. She is skilled in handling in complex drug and financial, and has considerable experience with environmental law cases. She has represented politicians, doctors, and law enforcement officials in her career and appreciates that the courtroom is not the only venue critical to most individuals accused of wrongdoing. Notably, one of Ms. Vaghti’s first felony trials was on the a case featured on the 2006 Dateline NBC To Catch a Predator, which ended in an acquittal.
